Every Best Picture Oscar Winner Ranked Worst To Best

One in a long line of ill-fated Best Picture winners with good intentions quickly undone, Dances with Wolves isn’t quite as bad as its detractors would have you believe, but they sure bring up some good points.

Kevin Costner’s tiresome Western tells of a Union soldier whose worldview is changed after connecting with a Native American tribe, making it yet another white saviour drama that means well, but seems to miss its own point. It looks good, but its painful runtime (and the fact it beat Goodfellas) leaves it at the bottom of the pile.
