Every Bond Movie Theme Song Ranked Worst To Best

15. Dance By The Fire (A View To A Kill) By Duran Duran

It's fair to say that the Bond franchise was quickly running out of pace during the 1980's. The beginning of the end of the Cold War was starting to make 007 feel a little irrelevant and the producers decision to keep Roger Moore on board for one movie too many really hurt. Duran Duran's 'so bad it's good' hit for the films anthem can be described as anything but tired, an insanely poppy song that while being totally out of place as a Bond song, was just damn fun.

The song, unlike the movie, hits the viewer up from the start with its over the top keyboards and over earnestness, which just makes you love the song more. Duran Duran had a few big hits in their career, and while they had much better quality songs than this, it's doubtful they've had a song this much fun. Try not to smile when listening to Duran Duran lead man burst into the chorus line, "Dance into the Fire!". Seriously, it can't be done!

The song is not the best produced song, with too much going on and making it seem like a battle of the bands contest is occurring with the competing bands both playing at once. But this is also part of the charm of this throughly 80's bit of pop rock.

While he likes to know himself as the 'thunder from down under', Luke is actually just a big dork who loves all things sport, film, James Bond, Doctor Who and Karaoke. With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
