Every Cillian Murphy Movie Ranked Worst To Best

25. Peacock (2010)

Cillian Murphy Inception
Mandate Pictures

Peacock is a bold psychological thriller that never lives up to its potential, though you have to give Murphy props for committing so hard to its premise.

Starring as a small-town bank clerk with dissociative personality disorder, Murphy plays both John and his other self, Emma, who he convinces his neighbours is actually his wife. It's nonsense, really, and quickly flies off the rails in a ludicrous way, but Murphy is clearly relishing the opportunity to play two characters in one body.

Despite his skill, though, you can only praise him so far: This is a film is so wild, it's hard to pay attention to what he's doing.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool.
