Every Cillian Murphy Movie Ranked Worst To Best
19. Intermission (2003)
Sporting a welcome reunion between Murphy and fellow Irish legend Colm Meaney - as well as scene-stealing turns from Colin Farrell and Kelly MacDonald - Intermission is an unconventional comedy of the highest order, boldly executed and frighteningly funny.
It stars Murphy as a heartbroken crook desperate to win back his ex, and though this is Farrell's movie, he delivers the goods as a man completely unlikable and hilarious in his struggles.
Filmed as a documentary-style thriller, Intermission does become a bit messy after a while, but its cast never loses its touch. Murphy, here just after the success of his big break 28 Days Later, has a small role, but he makes every edgy second count.
