Every Daniel Day Lewis Movie Performance Ranked From Worst To Best
8. The Last Of The Mohicans (1992)
Michael Mann and DDL prove to be a potent team in this relatively simplistic but fantastically executed action epic.
The Last of the Mohicans features an uncharacteristically physical performance for Day-Lewis at this point in his career, but it's one he absolutely nails, and the rugged, long-haired look suits him damn fine.
Overall the pic is rather broad and certainly not the best effort from either Mann or DDL, but it's incredibly efficient, hits its genre notes perfectly, and also benefits massively from one Hell of a musical score.
The script ultimately prevents DDL from taking his performance to the next level, but he does damn fine work regardless.
