Every DC Extended Universe Film Ranked From Worst To Best (According To Rotten Tomatoes)
6. Justice League
Score: 40%
Critic Consensus: "Justice League leaps over a number of DC movies, but its single bound isn't enough to shed the murky aesthetic, thin characters, and chaotic action that continue to dog the franchise."
A slight improvement over the previous two films, Justice League gave fans their first ever experience of seeing the titular team united on the big screen, as the characters join forces to battle Steppenwolf and his army in order to save the world.
The production of Justice League was messy, with Zack Snyder needing to leave for personal reasons and Joss Whedon being pulled into finishing the film. This resulted in reshoots and a film filled with tonal issues. The cast have even stated that there were a lot of reshoots, with some fans believing Snyder's original cut for the film was better than the released product.
While the production was murky, Justice League is not as bad a film as it is made out to be. The main cast are all formidable in their roles, with Ben Affleck and Ezra Miller shining brightest. It is also worth mentioning that this film features the best portrayal of Cavill's Superman so far, as his Kal-El finally feels hopeful and more in line with the Christopher Reeve portrayal that fans adore.
It will be interesting to see how Snyder's full cut of Justice League turns out when it is released on HBO Max in 2021.
