Every DCEU Film Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Wonder Woman

The Suicide Squad was really, really good, but Wonder Woman remains the crown jewel of the DCEU's line-up.

A dazzling combination of an exhilarating action blockbuster and a heartfelt, surprisingly brilliant character journey for Wonder Woman herself, the movie is a seamless mixture of style and substance that's both viscerally thrilling and emotionally satisfying.

On a technical level the film rocks and it has many smashing set-pieces (although the third act is a little OTT), but it's really taken to the next level by just how well-written it is. The character moments are beautifully-done, the film has the greatest superhero movie love story of all time and even though the finale is too CGI-heavy, the movie still has a wonderfully emotional ending that might move some viewers to tears.

In other words, it's a thrilling blockbuster with real heart and soul, and that's what makes the movie so great.

It's not a five-star film. The villains are pretty weak, some of the CGI is dodgy and there's the occasional jarring tonal shift here and there, but for the most part this is one of the 2010s' finest superhero films, an exemplary superhero origin story, and the DCEU's greatest achievement.
