5. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice - 6.5
How can it be that the first ever big screen meeting between the man of steel and the dark knight missed the mark by as much as it did? Two of the most famous and well known super heroes in history should have made for a cinematic spectacle that everyone could enjoy.
Sadly, this was not the case. The DCEU’s second outing tried to cram in too much in what seemed like a rush to catch up with the MCU, and the movie suffered greatly for it.
The wildly miscast Lex Luthor’s plan was laughable, made little to no sense, and made Superman look simply stupid. The two titular characters fought for just a few minutes which, considering the title of the movie seems too short, and the less said about the famous Martha scene the better.
As with Justice League, it feels as though Dawn of Justice would have benefitted from at least a Batman solo movie before it to introduce the character and establish his concerns about Superman, or maybe even a Flash movie to make at least some sense of Barry Allen’s Dawn of Justice appearance.
