Every Denzel Washington Movie Ranked Worst To Best
30. John Q. (2002)
Though it's about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face, John Q. is a phenomenal showcase for Denzel Washington, who plays a loving father so desperate for his son to get a heart transplant that he takes a hospital hostage.
"I will not bury my son; my son will bury me!" is surely one of the actor's most iconic lines, perfectly summarising Washington's portrayal of grief and the anger John has toward the US healthcare system.
As noted, the film wins no awards for subtly, but turn up to watch Washington work his magic and you won't be disappointed.
