Okay, so maybe it's not that typical, what with the way it takes the basic outline of Se7en and dials the insanity of its twists up to eleven with little care, and wastes its terrific cast (Washington, John Goodman, Donald Sutherland) in the process.

There's a semi-decent crime-thriller in here somewhere, but it's irretrievably buried by nonsense despite Washington's best efforts as its straight-laced lead.
