Every Denzel Washington Movie Ranked Worst To Best
45. Power (1986)
A mid-career political drama from the great Sidney Lumet, Power tells the story of a conspiracy within the US Senate, and finds Washington in an engaging supporting role as a scheming PR man on a mission to derail a damning investigation.
Unfortunately, the problem here is that Washington is the sole bright spot in the movie, and he's not around nearly enough to save it from its smug storytelling, weak twists, and forgettable characterisation.
As is usually the case, Washington comes out looking good here, but his efforts are thoroughly dampened by Power's silly final act and dull thrills.
