Every George A Romero Movie Ranked Worst To Best

It’s not over-hyping Creepshow’s influence to say that the current trend for horror anthologies springs, in some small way, from Romero and Stephen King’s homage to EC comics. Creepshow is, first and foremost, a fun movie with nothing more on its mind than giving the audience a good time. It’s a lesson the film’s fans seem to have learned well.

King appears in the second story, The Lonesome Death Of Jordy Verrill, playing a none too bright hick whose encounter with “meteor sh*t” has terrible consequences. According to legend, Romero told King to play the part as broad as a freeway and that’s exactly what he does. Love him or loathe him, King really is something to see in this movie.

The segment everybody always remembers comes right at the end. In They’re Creeping Up On You, E.G. Marshall plays “Upson Pratt”, a hermit with a peculiar bug problem (to reveal more would be unthinkable). If you’re reading this and you haven’t watched Creepshow, well, what’re you waiting for.
