EVERY Halloween Death RANKED By Stupidity

Marion Chambers - Halloween H20

Dimension Films

In terms of memorable, Halloween H20's opening memorably kills off Joseph Gordon Levitt's Jimmy, who has an ice skate stuck in his head. However, both Jimmy and his pal Tony's deaths technically happen off-screen, so they don't really qualify for a ranking here.

Of course, this opening sequence also sees the death of Marion Chambers, a character from the first two movies who was a nurse and a close friend of Sam Loomis.

Concerned that somebody had broken into her house, Marion gets Jimmy to head inside to investigate, where he finds nothing of note, but accidentally smashes up Marion's kitchen and steals a few beers. When she realises that somebody has been in her office and nabbed papers from a folder on Laurie Strode, Marion rushes next door, where she finds Jimmy and Tony dead. Not just that, but she also finds Michael Myers.

With the police mere yards away, checking on Marion's own house, she has her throat cut by the Shape, which is the first of two times that Marion would be killed in the wider Halloween franchise, because of alternative timelines and different canon.

Marge Guttman - Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Halloween III: Season of the Witch Marge Guttman
Universal

Finding a loose Silver Shamrock chip from one of the Halloween masks, Marge Guttman gets a little too inquisitive for her own good.

Now, it's maybe not wise to use a hair clip to tinker with a small electronic device, but Marge couldn't have expected that to cause a blue laser beam to fire out of the chip and melt her face in a brilliantly disgusting way. Still, that's what ends up happening.

A very solid reminder to be careful around electronics. Or, at least, don't start prodding around them with something metal.

Michael Myers - Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends Michael Myers Death
Universal

As of this writing, Halloween Ends was it for Michael Myers. Well, unless Miramax's Halloween TV series ever comes to fruition and brings the Shape back, of course...

In terms of finality, the fate of Michael in Halloween Ends is pretty much as final as final gets. His final act battle with Laurie Strode ends with Michael having his throat slit, his arm broken, and then his wrists cut, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! While we see Michael take his final breaths on Laurie's kitchen table, all as she holds his hand for comfort, Haddonfield comes together for a funeral procession of sorts to make sure that Michael really is dead.

By that, that means Michael's body is taken to the local salvage yard, complete with a police escort and various locals, and his corpse is thrown in an industrial shredder, where it's ground into mush for all to see.

It's hard to really rank Michael's death in terms of stupidity, as the reason he finds himself in that situation is simply a case of Michael Myers being Michael Myers; once again hunting down Laurie Strode, with the bonus of killing Corey, the young fella who'd beaten you up and stolen your mask. It's Michael following his base instincts.
