Mountain Man - Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

This is a stupid death from a stupid movie that stupidly started the proper decline of the franchise. Well, until it was briefly rejuvenated with Halloween H20 nearly a decade later.

Listed in the credits as simply Mountain Man, the character played by Harper Roisman is the first kill of Halloween 5, and his death is something that is just ridiculous for so, so many reasons.

Following directly from the ending of Halloween 4, we see Michael shot several times and fall down a mineshaft, where he ends up swept away by a stream that leads him to the underground home of Mountain Man. Michael would've killed the guy there and then, were he not too exhausted, collapsing on the spot.

From there, we jump forward one whole year, where it's implied that Michael has been out for the count for 12 months, that the Mountain Man has been happy to let Michael just lie there sleeping, and with Michael finally waking up due to a psychic connection to his niece, Jamie Lloyd. And after that whole year of letting him sleep, Mountain Man is thanked by Michael by being stabbed to death.
