Starker is someone who really should know better, who actually does know better, but who doesn't give a single solitary s**t.
Starker is the name of the drunk straggler who chats to Dan Challis in Season of the Witch, ranting about the curfew in place for the town of Santa Mira, and loudly trash-talking Conal Cochran. Given how Starker knows the town, knows Cochran, and knows how Cochran's men - well, androids - have a way of fixing problems, it was absolutely ridiculous of him to go off so vocally about all of this, regardless of how boozed up he was.
As such, it doesn't come as any real surprise when Cochran has Starker's head literally ripped off by one of Cochran's underlings. Then again, the head-rip itself is a drastic measure that is a bit of a surprise, but Starker's death itself is no real shocker.
Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics.
As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. Between his main day job, his role as lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund and Eli Roth to Kevin Smith and the Russo Brothers, to Kevin Conroy and Frank Miller, to Bret Hart and Sting, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, and Brian Flynn, to many, many more.
