Every Halloween Movie (They Never Actually Made)

Penned by Jake Wade Wall, this title came about again before Zombie's films took off, and before Moustapha Akkad sadly passed away. Of the idea, Wall commented to Bloody Disgusting:

"We [Wall and Akkad] both agreed it was time to get back to the early “Halloween” films in terms of style and story so I started to think. And I realised that in the original movie, you go from seeing Michael Myers as this 10-year old who has just butchered his sister to a 25-year old escapee from a mental institution. I wondered what happened to him in those “missing years”, hence my working title."

Whilst it didn't get made as the idea of looking at Michael in his institutional years seems to be a remarkably dry one, the prequel idea fit well with what the production company asked of Zombie for his film instead.
