Every Halloween Movie (They Never Actually Made)
4. Halloween III "3D"
Following on from Rob Zombie's ridiculous entries into the Halloween saga, Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier decided to keep their ideas in the same crazy vein - creating a film made for the budding 3D market that capitalised on plenty of gore. In this script, the focus seemed to be heavily on cool kills and the original creepy tone of the first movie, juxtaposed with ridiculous sequences like Michael taking out an entire SWAT team like the bad ass he is.
3D never came to fruition as a third part to Zombie's story just wasn't wanted, and the Farmer/Lussier script went unused and died when the window of release was missed. Bustillo and Maury were given a crack at Halloween 3 too, but didn't think they'd be able to create anything that wasn't derivative of the slasher we'd seen a million times before:
Bustillo said: "No matter how much we love Myers, if we're gonna piss on him...we let it go." Fair enough.
