Few characters have defined the MCU as a whole in the same way that Tony Stark has. He's the character who started the cinematic universe as we know, giving us a story of a man who took what he had for granted until he almost lost all of it.

However, this moment of near-death made him realize the problems in the world, and it was because of this that he turned into the Iron Man we all love. Tony Stark might still be egotistical and selfish at times, but he’s also highly emotional. His love for Pepper Potts can be seen across all three Iron Man movies, and later on, in Infinity War and Endgame, we see his love for Peter Parker.

He’s already a character that fans loved more than anything by the end of Iron Man 3. Moreover, his subsequent role in Infinity War and Endgame made him an icon across all cinema.

His fight against Thanos and subsequent sacrifice is something none of us have forgotten even after the many years since it originally happened, and we all shed a tear when he said the faithful words: I Am Iron Man.
