Every James Bond Girl Ranked From Worst To Best
51. The World Is Not Enough - Dr Christmas Jones
This one is the least convincing scientist ever put to film, as well as one of the all-time worst Bond Girls.
Dr Christmas Jones (Denise Richards) often gets ranked as the worst Bond Girl and while Stacy Sutton is arguably marginally worse, that's mainly because Jones is only in the second half of her film. Dr Christmas Jones is still an absolutely dire character.
On paper, Jones seems like a fairly mediocre, run-of-the-mill Bond Girl who the writers clearly didn't put much effort into; the thing which made her one of the all-time worst is that she's played by the wooden-as-a-Viking-Longboat Denise Richards, who gives one of the worst performances in Bond history.
She has no chemistry with anyone else, plays the character with a single dopey facial expression throughout and messes up every single one of her line readings, especially whenever she's trying to sound like a scientist. Those moments simply couldn't have felt more forced.
As for her odd name, it's clear that this was picked so the writers could drop an absolutely ghastly joke on viewers at the end, while her and Bond are in bed.
Bond: "I was wrong about you."
Christmas: "How so?"
Bond: "I thought Christmas only comes once a year."
Painful.
