Every James Bond Girl Ranked From Worst To Best
18. Paris Carver - Tomorrow Never Dies
Paris Carver (Teri Hatcher), the trophy wife of the film's main villain, who is revealed to have a romantic history with Bond, is one of the franchise's better supporting Bond Girls.
Her story-line is a bit rushed, but Paris' narrative arc - she reconnects with Bond, joins with him against her villainous husband and is then tragically killed - is one of the more compelling parts of Tomorrow Never Dies' story and her death is genuinely sad.
It also gives Tomorrow Never Dies, a good Bond film but a little distant at times, an emotional kick that was sorely needed. Bond's desire to avenge her death drives him throughout the rest of the film and visibly affects him, so Paris Carver is very much a sacrificial lamb Bond Girl done right.
Teri Hatcher (who didn't get on with Pierce Brosnan very well) has openly expressed dissatisfaction with her role in the film, deriding it as a meaningless part, but she's arguably being a bit hard on the character and besides, she did a good job as Paris and shouldn't regret her turn in the film.
