Every James Bond Girl Ranked From Worst To Best
48. Licence To Kill - Lupe Lamora
Licence to Kill is an underrated and successful entry in the series, but it is dragged down by a particularly awful love triangle subplot that involves Bond, Pam Bouvier (Carey Lowell) and Lupe Lamora (Talisa Soto).
Lupe Lamora (Talisa Soto) is the abused girlfriend of main villain Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi) who was, like many of these characters, let down by a weak performance, bad writing and an uninteresting relationship with Bond himself. Worse still, she has very little effect on the plot and doesn't really do anything other than give the film an extra love scene, so she feels entirely superfluous.
Lamora is also at the centre of the film's worst scene, where she exclaims "I love James so much!" when they barely know each other and have slept together once. Just ridiculous.
In the end, after defeating and killing Sanchez (who Lupe had longed to be freed from), Bond ditches her for the film's main Bond Girl, Pam Bouvier. More on her soon though.
