Every James Bond Main Villain Ranked Worst To Best

EON Productions were so happy with Charles Gray's performance as British operative, Henderson, in You Only Live Twice, they hired him as the third incarnation of Ernst Stavro Blofeld in Diamonds Are Forever. Gray had big shoes to fill since Donald Pleasance's performance as SPECTRE's Supreme Commander has become iconic.

Sadly, it's obvious from the get-go that Gray is miscast in the role, portraying Blofeld as a camp snob rather than an egomaniacal dictator. Because Gray looks and acts nothing like the traditional depiction of Blofeld, he should've been rewritten as a completely different character to avoid sullying the reputation of Bond's infamous foe.

Even though many people were disappointed with Christoph Waltz's rendition as Blofeld, there is no question Charles Gray is the worst incarnation of the character.
