Every James Bond Main Villain Ranked Worst To Best
17. Ernst Stavro Blofeld - SPECTRE
When it was announced Christoph Waltz would portray Blofeld in SPECTRE, fans were thrilled. Not only was Waltz a two-time Oscar winner, his unique acting talents felt like a perfect fit for Bond's arch-nemesis
However, Waltz tried to humanise Blofeld, portraying him with calm restraint. Although you have to commend Waltz for not hamming it up, Blofeld feels like the type of character that should be extravagant and over-the-top.
Also, having Blofeld revealed as Bond's half-brother was a pointless twist, which the plot could've functioned without. Worse still, Blofeld admits that he felt like his father didn't love him as much as Bond, which drove him to destroy his sibling's life.
Making Blofeld have a personal connection with his enemy is a great idea but turning him into someone who was spurred to create a criminal empire out of childhood jealousy is idiotic.
