Every James Bond Villain Ranked Worst To Best

20. Aristotle Kriastos

Renard James Bond
United Artists

Aristotle Kristatos, a Greek smuggler hired by the KBG to retrieve an ATAC device, is a forgettable lead villain for the excellent For Your Eyes Only. Julian Glover is solid as him and the twist about him being the big bad (instead of Milos Columbo, who was hinted to be the main villain prior to this reveal) does actually work, but as a character, he's fairly bland and vanilla.

A more realistic and low-key villain was the right move for this more grounded instalment, but the villain needed to be more intimidating, such as the villains in some of the franchise's other more sober instalments (From Russia with Love and Licence to Kill are great examples of this). Unfortunately, this character doesn't have that and never feels like enough of a threat.
