Every James Bond Villain Ranked Worst To Best

11. Blofeld (Unseen) - From Russia With Love And Thunderball

Renard James Bond

Essentially, Blofeld was the Thanos of his day. He was built up slowly across multiple films before finally being unveiled properly in You Only Live Twice. In From Russia with Love and Thunderball, he appears as a largely-unseen figure (Played by Anthony Dawson and voiced by Erich Pohlmann) and has no contact with Bond, nor is he named. This actually works incredibly well.

He's a thoroughly menacing and eerie presence, while the teasing of the character was very well-done and really got one excited for the big reveal in the franchise's fifth film. He was also very well-voiced by Pohlmann, who gave a sinister, almost alien vocal performance.

Come to think of it, this incarnation of Blofeld was the best villain of Thunderball despite only being in a few scenes.
