Every Kevin Smith Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Holidays (2016)
Looking at Smith's more recent work, you can see how his segment in horror anthology Holidays fits: it's another about provoking reaction (mostly to the ignorance of actual film quality), and stars his daughter. Which is somewhat problematic given that it focuses on a creep with a cam sex company.
The entire anthology is a bit of a mess, to be honest: there's clearly a lot of potential and a lot of talent on show, but there aren't a great deal of new ideas, nor much inspiration to turn old ones into something fresh. That goes particularly for Smith's segment Halloween, which - coupled with his other two most recent films - seems to suggest that someone has been erroneously telling him that he's got a great horror film-maker within him.
It's not offensive or as provocatively awful as Yoga Hosers by any means, but this is not the sort of thing you'd expect from the right Kevin Smith.
