Natasha Romanoff has had an incredible journey throughout her time in the MCU, stretching back to before she was even hired as Natalie Rushman by Stark Industries. Thanks to her checkered past, she had a lot of red to wipe out of her ledger, and though Loki doubted it could be done, it’s fair to say she succeeded.

When half of all living creatures were killed by Thanos, it was Nat who sat at the head of the Avengers table. She felt that it landed on her shoulders to avenge those that they had lost, and this went as far as travelling to another planet, on another timeline, and giving her own life.

Before the Avengers went back in time, Natasha was adamant that they needed to bring everyone back no matter the cost.

She was the only one however, that paid with her life to get the Soul Stone in Clint Barton's possession. Yet, this was something that she was more than happy to do, as it allowed her to save more lives than she ever could have done otherwise. When she said no matter what, she truly meant it, and gave her life as a true hero.
