What a letdown this was. Belated comedy sequels admittedly don't often pan out well, but given how much passion was clearly behind this follow-up to 2007's Enchanted, we all wanted it to work out.

But those early reports of disastrous test screenings and extensive reshoots make a lot of sense when you see the end result - a staggeringly unimaginative, low-effort sequel which bafflingly squanders the efforts of a game cast.

Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph are clearly having a blast regardless, but from its egregious slog of a first act to its mostly mediocre array of songs, this was seriously lacking in the wit and charm that made the original such an enduring fave.
