Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
42. The Fantastic Four (2015)
Considering it was supposed to be the confidence building reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise that would wipe out the bitter aftertaste of the two cartoonish messes that came before it, Josh Trank's take on the Fantastic Four probably couldn't have gone worse.
It's not quite the unadulterated disaster many will lead you to believe, but there are very few positives to take from it beyond the charisma and chemistry of the central cast. If the rumours of a sequel are to be believed, let's hope they get a better script, a better director and a better sense of what these movies should be. Or, you know, just hand the rights back to Marvel and have done with it.
The biggest problem is the film's lack of imagination or real creative thrust: it's a reboot without a better idea, and that's absolutely criminal.
