Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
48. Nick Fury: Agent Of SHIELD
Strictly speaking, the David Hasselhoff-starring first attempt to bring Nick Fury to screens was actually a pilot movie for a TV show that inevitably didn't get made. But you really have to feel for the former champion of sucking his tummy in on Baywatch: he tried to do a superhero movie before it was cool, starring as a bad-ass character before he was cool, and now he's all but been wiped out of the history books.
Or you could, until you actually watch Nick Fury, which is the weird, bastard sibling of mainline Marvel movies that is justifiably kept locked away in a cupboard. Incredibly, this was written by David S Goyer (though on reflection, he's far from a sure-thing in this genre), and though it sort of looks the part, it's horrible when you get into its substance. It's cliched and fatally dull, and it's no wonder Hasselhoff appears to be so bitter about the whole thing.
