Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
46. Man -Thing
Given how terrible it is, it's pretty charitable of all Marvel fans to have forgotten that there was a Man-Thing movie released right at the height of Marvel's first successful movie period. In 2005, we already had two X-Men and Spider-Man movies and each of their sequels proved it wasn't hard to make astonishing comic book movies, so the fact that this mess landed then is just baffling.
The film was helmed by The Lawnmower Man's Brett Leonard, who was commended for his computer animation work on that horror so much that he clearly never thought to update it 13 years later. He then suffered the ignominy of his feature not getting a US theatrical release at all, which is the best thing for everyone given how badly it fudged the character and how awful the whole thing looks.
