Every MCU Director Ranked Worst To Best

11. Louis Letterier

Thor Ragnarok Taika Waititi
Universal

Directed:

The Incredible Hulk (2008).

This is where the good directing jobs start.

Louis Letterier might have directed terrible films such as Now You See Me and Clash of the Titans but he himself is a solid visual stylist who has, unfortunately, been stuck with a lot of underwhelming movies.

His work on this largely forgotten though still enjoyable origin story is fine, although he's not given the chance to really do much since this is a fairly low-key and by-the-numbers movie. There aren't even many big action sequences, so this film wasn't really a good opportunity for any director to show off their cinematic chops.

That being said, Leterrier was an absolutely solid director for the film and although he doesn't bring an awful lot of cinematic style or visual invention to proceedings, he directed the action in a coherent, engaging manner and did a thoroughly serviceable job with the movie.
