Every MCU Movie Ranked By Death Count

Back in 2016, it was reported that Guardians of the Galaxy officially killed more characters on screen than any other movie in cinema history. This was even acknowledged by James Gunn on Twitter as he was somewhat conflicted in accepting the honour.

This movie is, on the face of it, one of the funnier, lighter movies in the MCU, so this figure may seem surprisingly big. However, it was the final battle for Xandar that saw over 80,000 Nova Corps pilots give their life while trying to stop Ronan and his Infinity Stone from touching down on the planet's surface.

Aside from the Xandarian genocide, there was the heartbreaking death of Meredith Quill, Thanos' sidekick, The Other, the Collector's curator, and a handful of guards and prisoners in the Kyln. Who could also forget Yondu killing 15 people in two seconds with his Yaka Arrow, and Groot's massacre of the same number of Ronan's soldiers?

This title awarded to the 2014 movie however, was for on screen deaths only, leaving room for another movie to release four years later and take the title of deadliest MCU movie right from James Gunn's hands...
