They're basically like the X-Men, only their parents are an evil ensemble called The Pride and the kids' superpowers are sometimes not entirely great.

There's an element of John Hughes' misfits ethos to the team - which also includes a dinosaur, therefore cannot possibly be anything but good - and the more it leans on the same sort of oddball dynamic as The Umbrella Academy the better.
