23. Ms. Marvel (2022)
What makes Ms. Marvel so effective is how intimate it is, painting a moving and vivid portrait of community and family that beautifully compliments Kamala Khan's (Iman Vellani) unique origin story.
Anchored by its endearing cast and risky remixing of its comic book inspiration (a creative decision that proved unpopular but worthwhile), the series is a solid origin story and poignant coming-of-age drama, despite its stuffy narrative and the MCU's persistent visual effects problem.
It's not particularly original, but with Vellani front-and-centre and its apt themes of home and identity, it's definitely one of the franchise's more memorable small screen offerings, and makes an intriguing foundation for bigger things to come.
