27. Iron Man 2 (2010)
The major issue with Iron Man 2 is simple: It does too much.
Between Tony Stark slowly being killed by the very thing keeping him alive, the proper introduction of franchise mainstays Nick Fury and Natasha Romanov, the two weak and generic villains, and a subplot involving the origins of War Machine, the entirety of the franchise's first sequel is both overbearing and distractingly unfocussed.
As ever, Robert Downey Jr works wonders with the material he's given, and the Monaco sequence in particular has some enjoyable moments, but as a whole Iron Man 2 is one of the MCU's laziest and most overeager projects, trying to do too much too quick and suffering massively as a result.
