More on the first two shorts in this mini-series shortly, but Team Darryl is the third in a Taika Waititi trilogy, and depicts the titular Darryl bringing in the former Sakaarian ruler as his new roommate. As would be expected, it is hilarious.

As the only one who responded to his ad on Craigslist, the Grandmaster became Darryl’s new roommate. After the death of Topaz, he was looking for a new assistant, someone to help him become ruler of Earth, and someone to draw while they slept.

The pairing of an immeasurably old other-worldly ruler and a tired office worker from Australia is the exact pairing you never knew you needed, but would certainly not be scoffed at should they ever get their own Disney+ series. Count this writer in with no hesitation.
