Every MCU Villain Plot Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Finding A Cure - Ghost (Ant-Man And The Wasp)

MCU Villains
Disney

As Far From Home had to follow Endgame, Ant-Man and the Wasp was dealt a tough hand as the movie to follow Infinity War, and though it introduced the ultimately universe saving Quantum Realm, it couldn't push past being a middle of the road MCU outing. The villain aspect however, was very good, offering something different to usual.

Ava, with the help of Hank Pym's enemy Bill Foster, needed the former Ant-Man's lab as a means to cure her pain. Hank and Hope however, needed it to bring Janet back from the Quantum Realm. There was never any true animosity between Ghost and Ant-Man, it's just that neither were ever going to give up on their pursuit of the lab.

Villains are always better when the audience can feel empathy and compassion for them, and this was definitely true of Ava. By the end of the movie, Hank agreed to help Bill find a cure once Janet was safe, Janet immediately made Ava better, and she is even described as a friend by Scott Lang.

Yes, she hurt and threatened people, but was she really that bad? All she wanted to do was heal her own pain. The main threat from this movie was simply time. If there had been enough time to help Ava's condition before losing Janet, there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place.
