Creating his own suit and taking the name Yellowjacket, Cross became obsessed with power and strengthening his reputation. Becoming Scott Lang's first major adversary, Yellowjacket carried all of Ant-Man's physical attributes and more.

Able to shrink to down to the size of pebble and cause double-trouble with four mechanical attachments that fired energy beams at his opponents, he almost bested in Ant-Man until Scott was able to make Cross's own suit crush him to death.
