Every Pixar Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Coco

Up Carl Ellie
Disney Pixar

Something of a return to greatness for Pixar after the resolutely less-good trio of The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, and Cars 3, Coco is a refreshing exploration of Mexican culture melded with a broader examination of family and mortality.

Beyond its creative and at times surprisingly dark story, Coco is also one of Pixar's most spritely and richly animated films, matched by a fantastic soundscape and particularly the tear-jerking, Oscar-winning climactic song, "Remember Me."

Expertly balancing the movie's tone on a razor's edge, director Lee Unkrich affectingly meditates on the concept of "true death" - that is, being forgotten after you're gone - in life-affirming fashion while never forgetting to make the journey fun and rewarding for younger audiences.
