Every Pixar Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Up

Up Carl Ellie
Pixar

Up may never hit as hard as it does during its brilliantly traumatic opening Married Life montage, but it splits the difference between an emotionally brutal throughline and sheer Pixar Fun extremely well.

It's incredibly rare for animated films to feature elderly protagonists, which immediately makes Carl Fredricksen such a refreshing presence, as brought to grouchy life with tremendous skill by the late, great Ed Asner.

As devastating as Carl's story of bereavement might be, Up is a soul-stirring adventure primed to make your heart soar, informed by the literally uplifting message that old age need not be an excuse to stop growing or finding joy in life.

Packed with eye-popping animation and boasting an all-timer Pixar mascot in the adorable talking dog Dug (Bob Peterson), Up is practically a miracle of a movie.
