Every Pixar Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
22. Cars 3
After Cars 2, few had anything but low expectations for Cars 3, which while far from a great movie is at least a persuasive improvement over its predecessor.
Shifting the focus back to Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) was a canny move for a story that more-or-less adopts the formula of a comeback sports movie: Rocky but Cars, if you like.
The script doesn't exactly have anything fresh to say about ageing, but Cristela Alonzo's Cruz Ramirez makes for a fun second to Lightning, and it boasts some legitimately gorgeous animation.
As a possible conclusion to the franchise this closes things out on a solid note, even if few are likely to rank it among their personal Pixar faves.
