Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best

6. Wall-E

Wall-E is an age-old love story: Boy meets girl. Boy falls head over heels with girl. Boy showers girl with gifts and attention to try and spark a relationship. Girl doesn't quite reciprocate because she's a robot sent to Earth to check whether the polluted mess humans left it in had stopped being toxic to all life. You know how it goes...

The joke here, of course, is that a film about a trash-compactor stranded as the last of his kind on an uninhabited future Earth who only wants to love is so bloody relatable. Everything about it suggests it ought to just be a curious sci-fi wonder and yet it's through Wall-E's primitive emotions that we see our own vulnerable humanity.

It's a silent movie classic dressed up in high-tech with a Dystopian bent. And yes, while admittedly it does lose a little of its charm and focus when Wall-E leaves Earth, but at no point does it ever stop being a great film and it's easily one of Pixar's most rewatchable.
