Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
19. Brave
Like The Good Dinosaur before it, Brave is actually a beautiful film and you cannot fault Pixar for its design. It's also probably vastly more appreciated in Scotland than anywhere else in the world. But it's definitely one of the lesser Pixar movies, because it doesn't quite feel like it belongs. Ironically.
The story bears some of the Pixar narrative hallmarks, such as an identity crisis, mortality fears and such, but it's a lot more like a Disney Princess movie. That may be because it's a fairy tale or it may be the historical period setting, but either way it sits slightly to the side of the other Pixars.
The story is still good and the characters well-drawn, but it's just a little... conventional and tends to be held up as evidence that Pixar's human-focused stories are never QUITE as good. Mostly.
