If Henry J. Waternoose III is the overarching antagonist of Monsters, Inc., it's Randall Boggs who emerges as the fan favourite villain.
Voiced with devilish glee by the great Steve Buscemi - whose nasal drawl was tailor-made for a character like this - Randall is a testament to ambition run amok, as he vows to become the company's #1 scarer by any means necessary.
Randall is a pure slimeball from first minute to last, and a damn entertaining one at that - a true villain who audiences love to hate.
Between his chameleonic ability to change colour and his attempts to literally murder Sulley, he's a major force to be reckoned with among Pixar's rogues gallery.
Randall's sympathetic backstory in Monsters University softens him a tiny bit, but there's no excusing the heinous places he later goes while chasing success.
