Though Toy Story 2 taught us all to be highly suspicious of seemingly affable toys voiced by legendary actors, it was still tough not to be charmed by the adorable, southern-accented Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear.

As the leader of Sunnyside Daycare's toys, he presents a literally warm and fuzzy exterior, and better yet even smells like strawberries.

But of course, Lotso is really an iron-fisted dictator whose bitterness over being abandoned by his owner causes him to run Sunnyside like a prison.

Ned Beatty is fantastic as Lotso, and the dichotomy of this cute, appealing toy having such twisted designs on Woody and co. makes him an especially insidious villain.

That he literally intends to leave the toys to burn to death in a furnace near the end makes him truly detestable, and his ultimate fate - fastened to the front of a truck - all the more satisfying.
