Every Pixar Villain Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Syndrome (The Incredibles)

The Incredibles' Syndrome (Jason Lee) has perhaps the single best villainous origin story of any Pixar baddie. Rejected by the Incredibles at a young age, as an adult he seeks revenge against the superheroes through his towering intellect and powerful technology.

It's initially easy to sympathise with Syndrome, who so desperately wants to be super, even if his reaction to rejection is of course wildly disproportionate - that is, horribly murderous and destructive.

Jason Lee does a remarkable job teasing out Buddy Pine's inner humanity and also his despicable nature, making him not only a spectacular animated movie villain but a genuinely great superhero movie antagonist.

That he's ultimately undone yet again by his cape is just the icing on the cake.
