Every Pokemon Movie Ranked Worst To Best

11. Pokemon Heroes: Latios And Latias

It's telling that the weakest of the films taken from Pokemon's original anime run still sits snugly inside the top half of this list. At the end of the day, for all their flaws, they had an endearingly old-fashioned sense of heroic chivalry that bled through them better than most later entries - and this one, based around a Venice substitute, is a pleasantly photographic affair at first glance.

In the city of Alto Mare, Ash and company get embroiled in a Team Rocket plot to control a machine that allows the user to remake the world in their own image - and in the process, befriend a pair of sibling legendary Pokemon in their quest to save the day. (Of some note, definitive chaste hero Ash gets one of his very few kisses in this film, which we bring up for good reason...)

Something of a culture vulture, Mr Steel can historically be found in three places; the local cinema, the local stadium or the local chip shop. He is an avowed fan of franchise films, amateur cricket and power-chords.
