Every Pokemon Movie Ranked Worst To Best

19. Giratina And The Sky Warrior

Coming off the back of a solid run of efforts to close out the Advanced era and kick-start the Diamond and Pearl run, the second part of the Sinnoh trilogy came the Pokemon franchise its first piece of continuity between film entries - but whether they should have bothered is another matter entirely.

Giratina and the Sky Warrior comes loaded with a brilliant visual premise - its titular beast hails from the Reverse World, a brilliantly twisted fairground mirror concoction - but is let down by its otherwise particularly lacklustre key Pokemon player. Shaymin, handed its debut here, falls straight into the pantheon of entitled big-screen jerks with impressive aplomb; basically put, like Hoopa, his personality prevents even remotely rooting for him in any conventional sense.

Something of a culture vulture, Mr Steel can historically be found in three places; the local cinema, the local stadium or the local chip shop. He is an avowed fan of franchise films, amateur cricket and power-chords.
