Every Rocky Opponent Ranked From Worst To Best

Creed takes the series in a new direction by giving us a new protagonist in the form of Adonis Johnson, the illegitimate son of Apollo Creed. He eventually trains under Rocky Balboa and is given the chance of fighting the light heavyweight champion, Pretty 'Ricky' Conlan.

The character is a significant improvement from Mason, being given memorable pieces of dialogue that make a Rocky antagonist great. Despite not being a professional actor, boxer Tony Bellew infuses Conlan with the attitude needed with his hair-trigger temper and constant belittling of Adonis.

That's not to say that Ricky is without any dimension as he is a man who is about to go to jail due to criminal charges and has to take his final fight to support his children. At the same time, he gives Rocky the respect he deserves during a press conference and by the end of the film, acknowledges Creed as a formidable opponent and as the future of the division.

The only reason why Conlan is ranked low in this list is that frankly, the film doesn't really focus on him and instead, focuses on Creed and his relationship with Rocky.
